Ancient Wisdom, Modern Science
The Drink Inc Herb Encyclopedia
Every herb in our products was chosen for a reason. We didn't just grab whatever was cheap or trendy. We went deep into the history books, the ethnobotanical records, and the peer-reviewed journals to find the herbs with the strongest track records. This is your complete reference โ what each herb is, where it came from, what it may do for you, and the science behind it.
7 herbs. Thousands of years of use. Now in two clean, alcohol-free formulas.
Our Philosophy
Why We Go This Deep
You deserve to know exactly what is in your bottle โ and why it is there. Not a marketing claim. Not a proprietary blend that hides individual ingredient amounts behind a curtain. The actual plants. Their actual histories. Their actual chemistry.
We are not interested in formulas built around what is cheap, what is trending, or what sounds impressive on a label. Every herb we use has two things: centuries of documented human use across multiple cultures, and a growing body of modern scientific research that helps explain why those cultures found it useful. Both matter. Neither one alone is enough.
We also care deeply about how our herbs are sourced. Most supplement companies buy herbs from mass agricultural farms โ controlled environments with irrigation, fertilizers, and reduced biodiversity. We source directly from producers who either wildcraft their herbs (harvest from wild habitats) or grow them certified organic. This matters because wild and organic herbs face real environmental challenges that drive them to produce richer, more complex arrays of phytochemicals โ the natural compounds that make them work. Think of it like the difference between a wolf and a dog: same species at heart, but the one that has faced real challenges is built differently.
We pay more for this. We sometimes source less. We never compromise on it.

Why It Matters
The Wildcrafted Difference
Walk into any supplement store and you will see the word "natural" on almost every label. But natural doesn't automatically mean effective โ and the sourcing story behind an herb makes a bigger difference than most people realize.
Most supplement companies buy their herbs from large-scale agricultural operations. These farms grow herbs in controlled environments: irrigated fields, fertilized soil, reduced competition from other plants, minimal exposure to drought or cold. The herbs look the same. They even test out at similar levels for basic compounds. But they are not the same.
The Wolf and the Dog
Think about the difference between a wolf and a domestic dog. Genetically, they are practically identical โ descended from the same ancestor. But the wolf has spent its life in genuinely wild conditions. It has run hundreds of miles, hunted in bitter cold, survived on uncertain food sources, and fought for survival in a complex ecosystem. That life of real challenges has built an animal that is harder, more adaptable, and more capable than its domesticated cousin.
The same principle applies to medicinal herbs. A plant growing wild in its native habitat faces real challenges: drought, frost, poor soil, competition from surrounding plants, insects trying to consume it. Every one of those challenges triggers the plant to produce more of its protective chemical compounds โ what scientists call secondary metabolites โ to defend itself and survive. These compounds are exactly what make herbs medicinal. When you stress a plant, it produces more of the chemistry that makes it useful to you.
A farmed herb in a controlled environment does not face the same pressures. It grows faster and larger, but its chemical profile is shallower. The plant simply did not need to fight as hard, so it did not build the same chemical complexity.
The Heirloom Tomato Test
If you have ever tasted a real heirloom tomato from a backyard garden โ compared to the pale, uniform ones at the supermarket โ you already understand this intuitively. Same plant. Same fruit. Completely different experience. The supermarket tomato was grown for yield, uniformity, and shelf life. The heirloom was grown in real soil, with real weather, and allowed to develop its full complexity. You can taste the difference.
We believe you can feel the difference in wildcrafted herbs, too.
What We Do Differently
Drink Inc sources every herb directly from producers who wildcraft from natural habitats or grow using certified organic practices. We pay more for this. We sometimes have to source smaller quantities because the supply of truly wild or certified organic herbs is more limited than the mass-farmed supply. We consider this non-negotiable.
When you open a bottle of Klara Boost or steep a cup of Klara Tea, you are getting herbs that faced real conditions and built real chemical complexity โ the way nature intended.
